Wu Yi is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Building Performance and Sustainability at the National University of Singapore (NUS), with an expected graduation in June 2026. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management (Civil Engineering) from Shenzhen University, where he also completed a one-year exchange program at NUS. His research interests lie at the intersection of sustainable building performance, urban microclimate modeling, and the application of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and machine learning in built environment studies.
During his undergraduate studies, Wu Yi led multiple projects in BIM modeling, database development, and industrial blockchain applications. He served as the Student Representative and Director of the Academic Department, coordinating academic activities and mentoring peers. He also served as project leader for several major campus assignments, leading the team to complete BIM modeling, database construction, industrialization research, and blockchain research reports.
He has published a first-author paper at the ICSPHS 2024 international conference, and his undergraduate thesis focused on CFD thermal simulation of Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) systems. His current master’s research, “Modelling of Theoretical Efficiency for Single Tree Cooling with Thermodynamic Principles,” employs CFD and machine learning surrogate models to develop a quantitative framework for assessing tree cooling efficiency, contributing to sustainable urban design and building performance optimization.
